Crashing two car bodies equipped, one with a wooden rack, the other with Sortimo Globelyst, SORTIMO has demonstrated the high niveau of quality of its products and the risk that is represented by the loading in the back.
Crash test Sortimo : two rackings : «wood» vs. «professionnel Sortimo Globelyst»
SORTIMO, number 1 in professionnel in-vehicle equipment in Europe, has effected its first Crash test in France, 24 October 2007 in front of approx. 100 testimonials at UTAC in Montlhéry (91). The Crash test was effected with two car bodies equipped with in-vehicle racking:
- «wood»
- «professionnel SORTIMO Globelyst»
Both tested rackings were equipped with the same charge and were accelarated the same way according to ECR-17 and ECR-44 (20 G while 30 milliseconds).
The wooden racking was completely destroyed and parts of it were found metres away from the crash position. At the Sortimo Globelyst racking nearly no deformation was recognized.
No parts of the Sortimo racking flew a part. The passengers were protected!
